Skype 2.0 APK for Android is now available for download. With this update, Skype video chat / calls are now reality. It should be noted that Skype for iOS already supports video calls and now its the Android version that gets much needed support. All you need is a front facing camera on supported Android device and you’re good to go.
With Skype for Android 2.0, you can make video calls over WiFi or 3G networks, for FREE. Although limited handsets are supported at the moment, the company says it will be adding support to more devices very soon. Currently supported handsets include Google Nexus S, HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, Sony Ericsson Xperia pro.
