Emotify – Internet by Emotion
You’d be used to of social bookmarking websites like StumbleUpon, Digg, Delicious and a whole lot of similar services? Market seems mature, overflowing with different websites offering almost similar services, sorting useful information, media and links in related categories and tags. However there seems to be new and interesting concepts coming out lately, as we had Diggstr (now Jogstr) that sorts the content from different social bookmarking services into specific topics. However there’s still no service offering information with a specific mood. What if you wanted to tag something with how it made you feel, instead of what it was about? Earlier sounds more human and matters much more than sorting content in specific categories. What if you wanted to visit something tagged as “Inspiring” or “Disgusting”, does anyone offer this? NO. Emotify aims to fill that gap. Emotify is a social bookmarking service with collection of web links and information sorted by users in different categories expressing moods and emotions.

With Emotify, you can share and discover the technology related content that inspires you, or amazing stuff related to football and so on. The idea, concept and application are perfect and Emotify is likely to get lot of attention. When you post and share your stuff with your network at notify, they tag it with emotion of their liking and your content gets a point in that particular emotion. Emotify saves each vote and displays the stats for every piece of content, once you click to tag it with a particular emotion. So you can see community response for a particular link in Technology, Science, Sports, Entertainment and other broad range of categories.
Navigating through Emotify and simple and easy, you select your desired emotion (e.g. Funny) and/or your category (e.g. Technology) and Emotify displays the recent links in technology that have been voted as “Funny”. You can change this setting to display all time funny technology related links as voted by Emotify community.
So, by now you have been tagging the web in different topics, this time it’s more human; tag a specific link or piece of information with how it makes you feel. You can also bring in your piece and have it tagged by Emotify community. All this comes with an easy sign up process or you could sign in using Facebook Connect.
