GeoHot has withdrawn from iphone 4 jailbreak and unlock. Do you buy this statement? GeoHot has just blocked public access to his blog and its now available to invited readers only. Just before doing this he updated his blog post saying that:
Sorry, this post was probably a bad idea. Next time I won’t say anything. I miss when this blog was actually about technical things(I’ve been reacting too much to the feedback, which led it to the place it’s in now). I didn’t fully realize most of the current scene don’t care unless they are getting something. Now I do. It’s late tonight, I’ll think about what to do about this in the morning.
The real reason behind no release isn’t technical. It’s just that it will never stop, after blackra1n, people demand unlock, after blacksn0w, people demand untethered. I miss the days when jailbreaking and unlocking were difficult, it attracted a much higher caliber crowd.
Also, to the haters, the picture is quite obviously fake 
Where does he say that he’s "withdrawing" from iPhone 4 jailbreak or unlock? You need to read between the words here. What I see is a frustrated guy getting angry at the amount of hate he gets despite releasing useful tools for community. So he is pretending to back off just to get rid of constant poking and to keep haters away. Imagine if you would receive thousands of emails and DMs asking similar questions, day after day, would you not get pissed off? And this chain of similar queries never ends for him. He released Blackra1n, people asked for the unlock. He released Blacksn0w and people continued asking for untethered and this goes on. That’s what he says in his blog post.
Why I hope is that I just can’t believe GeoHot won’t release a jailbreak, if he has one, sooner or later. What assures me is when he says "The real reason behind no release isn’t technical". Do you still think that the picture he posted regarding iPhone 4 jailbreak was fake? And would you believe if he says that the iPad jailbreak video that he posted earlier was also fake? He’s saying this just for the amount of hate he’s getting. He writes clearly "Also, to the haters, the picture is quite obviously fake".
Believers are gonna believe and haters are gonna hate.
