It could now be possible to unlock iPhone 4S 5.0.1 on baseband 1.0.11, 1.0.13 and 1.0.14 as Gevey Sim 5.0.1 unlock supports the iPhone 4S. The new Ultra S unlock for iPhone 4S will let you unlock your device running on iOS 5.0 or on iOS 5.0.1 firmware. What’s even great is that you do not need a jailbreak for it.
As you’d know, there’s no ultrasn0w for iPhone 4S which rules out the possibility for a software unlock. You can, however, jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone 4S using Absinthe but there still is no real hope for a software unlock. Now when Gevey Sim 4S compatibility has been announced, it’s the only way you can possibly unlock iPhone 4S at the moment.
