Google has announced that Android 2.3.4 for Nexus S OTA update will be rolling out in next few weeks. However, you can manually update Nexus S to Android 2.3.4 GRJ22 build already. Here’s how to do it:
How to Update Nexus S to Android 2.3.4 from Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread
Step 1: Download GRJ22-from-GRI40.a14a2dd0.zip and rename it to update.zip (for ease of use).
Step 2: Put the downloaded zip file in root of your SD card.
Step 3: Switch your phone off
Step 4: Start Nexus S in bootloader. To do this, hold the volume-up button and press the power button.
Step 5: From options, choose “Recovery”. Hint: Press volume buttons to navigate up and down, press Power button to select.
Step 6: Once you see the triangle on your device screen, hold power button and press Volume-up.
Step 7: When the list of options appears, choose the file to update.
That’s it! Enjoy Android 2.3.4 on Nexus S, a gingerbread GRJ22 build with support for video chat.
