Step 1: Download and Install Captivate Drivers for Windows (32 Bit | 64 Bit) … As an alternate, you can set up ADB and then connect your device to the computer.

Step 2: Connect Captivate with the PC via USB

Step 3: Open Command Prompt and execute following command:

adb reboot download

Your phone should reboot and will start in download mode.
