How to Receive RSS Feed Updates on Gtalk, Digsby and Jabber Clients
Let me show you how you can receive RSS feed updates from your favorite blogs right in your Gtalk and XMPP/Jabber based clients. There is a service called RSS.IM that lets you receive RSS feeds on Google Talk. To configure this service, follow the steps:
Log in to Google Talk and add bot@rss.im as friend.
Go to http://www.rss.im and type the feed address you want to receive updates for.
Enter your Google Talk username/address
Select Google Talk from drop down and click Subscribe
You’ll receive a 4 digit code on your Google Talk via IM
Enter the verification code to verify
You’ll now receive RSS feeds in your Google Talk, Enjoy!

You can also send feed url to the bot. In this case, you’ll be subscribed immediately, without verification.
