How to Unlock Windows Phone 7 Series Emulator ROM
Windows Phone 7 series was released few days ago at MIX10 and Dan Ardelean has managed to show the world how to unlock Windows Phone 7 Series Emulator ROM. By unlocking the Windows Phone 7 Series ROM, you get access to hidden features of the emulator. Here is simple how-to guide to show unlock WP7 emulator:
- Download Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (Express Edition).
- Download Microsoft Windows SDK with .NET Framework 3.5.
- Download Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Series Developer Tools.
- Download Windows Phone 7 Series BIN file.
- Rename the downloaded BIN file to WM70C1.bin.
- Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\WindowsPhone\v7.0\Emulation\Images
- Rename the existing WM70C1.bin so that you could copy new file without overwriting.
- Now copy the downloaded WM70C1.bin file in Images folder.
That’s it. You get the unlocked Windows Phone 7 Series.
