Step 1: Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
Step 2: Launch PwnageTool 4.3 and select your device. Then click Next.
Step 3: Browse for iOS 4.3.1 firmware IPSW for your device
A dialog box will appear asking “Do you have an iPhone contract that would activate normally through iTunes?” Clicking yes will update your baseband.
Step 4: Click “No” if you rely on baseband unlock, click “Yes” if you are on official carrier and don’t need to unlock your device.
That’s it. Now wait while PwnageTool completes it’s process and creates a custom IPSW. Once you see “ihaz Success!” message on screen, it will indicate the successful completion of iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak.
Load custom IPSW in iTunes:
