How to Enable Facebook Chat on AIM

Facebook Chat on AIMYou can now chat with your Facebook friends using AIM. More than just accessing Facebook chat on AIM, you can use AIM to update your status and view your news feed from Facebook right in the AIM client. You can also add other social networks like Twitter, YouTube and Delicious to your AIM to receive updates. To enable Facebook chat on AIM, follow the steps given below:

  1. Download the AIM
  2. Sign in using AIM username – You need to sign in using AIM username, if you don’t have one, you will have to create a new AIM username.
  3. After signing in, you will see Facebook Connect option on top of AIM client, click on that.
  4. Assign permissions to AIM to access your Facebook Account information
  5. If you want to update Facebook status messages using AIM, you will have to allow posting and reading from Facebook wall as well.
  6. After allowing all permissions, you should be able to see Facebook friends in AIM client. Chat and enjoy!
