If you haven’t had Android Market update up till now and are looking for how to manually update Android Market, you can do it easily with a series of steps. Here’s the guide:

Step 1: Download new Android Market app zip file (Vending-2.2.6-signed-testkeys.update.zip)

Step 2: Rename the downloaded file as update.zip and put it in root of your SD card

Step 3: Reboot your Android device in Recovery mode

Step 4: Select Wipe, then select Wipe Dalvik-Cache

Step 5: Press Vol Down to return to the previous menu

Step 6: Select Flash zip from SD card

Step 7: Choose SDCARD:update.zip

Step 8: Reboot your device

That’s all you need to update Android Market manually.

LinkedIn has finally released LinkedIn for Android Beta app for devices with Android 2.1 and above. To download and install LinkedIn on Android, you need to go through a rather long process, here’s the how to:

Step 1: On your Android phone, go to Settings and tap on Applications

Step 2: Turn “Unknown sources” on. A warning box will appear, read it along and tap on “OK”.

Step 3: Now open your browser on Android and point it to http://bit.ly/LinkedInAndroidBeta. It will download Android LinkedIn APK onto your mobile.

Step 4: Tap on the downloaded LinkedIn.apk. Look for LinkedIn.apk in browser’s download history or in Notifications. Installer will launch.

Step 5: Read the warning, then tap on “Install” if you want to install LinkedIn for Android.

Download Gmail 2.3 for Android from Market

Gmail 2.3, an updated version of Gmail for Android is now available in Android Market. It brings quite a lot of new features including support for Gmail Priority Inbox. It also is the first time that Google is offering Gmail app separately which means that app updates are not tied to Android OS updates anymore.
