Android users can now download Zynga Poker for Android (APK) for FREE. Zynga has released one of it’s popular games Zynga Poker on Android OS. So the users who have Android handsets can get the app from the Android Market (Download link).
With Zynga Poker for Android, you can play Texas hold ‘em with up to 9 other players. You can sign in to access online poker table, Zynga Poker uses Facebook login.
Android 2.3 Gingerbread build GRH78 OTA for Nexus S is being rolled out. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can manually update Nexus S to GRH78 build. Here’s how to:
Step 1: Download Gingerbread GRH78: GRH78-from-GRH55.a71a2082.zip.
Step 2: Rename the downloaded file to “update.zip”.
Step 3: Place the update.zip file onto the root of your SD card.
Step 4: Unplug your phone from computer then turn the phone off.
Step 5: Start Nexus S in the bootloader mode. How to: Press and hold the volume up button + Power button.
Note: Once in bootloader mode, you can navigate up and down with Volume + & – keys and select an option with Power button.
Step 6: Select “Recovery” option from the screen to enter Recovery Mode.
Step 7: Once see a red triangle on the screen, press Volume up + Power button again.
Step 8: Select the option to update (Apply update.zip) to start updating.
That’s it. Your Nexus S will be updated to GRH78.
Samsung and Google have released Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread GRH78 OTA update for Nexus S handsets. It updates Gingerbread build from GRH55 to GRH78 for Nexus S and brings some bug fixes and updates the Maps to latest.
Gingerbread OTA Nexus S update comes a week after the handset was released in the US. The patch is 1.9 MB in size and is being rolled out now. If you’re a Nexus S owner, you can update to Android 2.3.1 GRH78.
If you want to install Clockwork recovery on Nexus One manually, this step by step guide will make the job easier. You need to install ClockworkMod recovery on Nexus One manually if your device is not rooted. So, if you have rooted Nexus One, the process is rather simple. Here are our guides for both, rooted and not-rooted Nexus One:
Step 1: Head to Android Market
Step 2: Search for ROM Manager
Step 3: Install Clockwork recovery
Step 1: Download ClockworkMod Recovery: recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.1-passion.img
Step 2: Set up ADB for Nexus One
Step 3: Put the downloaded recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.1-passion.img in C: drive
Step 4: Turn Nexus One off and connect it to PC via USB
Step 5: Hold the Power button + Trackball together to start Nexus One in fastboot mode
Step 6: Once in fastboot mode, open Terminal / Command Prompt and run following command:
This command will check if your device is connected in fastboot mode or not.
Step 7: Now run following command:
This will install Clockwork recovery on your Nexus One.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread source code was released yesterday and we already have Gingerbread AOSP ROM for Nexus One. It’s released by Chris Soyars and does have some shortcomings. Here is official word from Chris:
Here is a build of AOSP for the Nexus One. A few things to note.
- This may overwrite your recovery.
- Does not include ANY proprietary applications (find your own). That means no market.
- Plain vanilla AOSP.
- I will not release any builds for other devices, as we still have to work on those.
- Requires, REQUIRES, 35.0017 hboot.
- Nexus One ONLY.
- No camera (because I am lazy).
Shortly after Android 2.3 Gingerbread source code was released, folks at XDA have already ported Gingerbread on Samsung Galaxy S. In technical terms, Nexus S kernel’s been ported onto Galaxy S. This port is pretty smooth but as with many unofficial ports, Android 2.3 Gingerbread for Galaxy S lacks some features like voice, Wi-Fi and GPS don’t work as yet. Here’s the video:

LinkedIn has finally released LinkedIn for Android Beta app for devices with Android 2.1 and above. To download and install LinkedIn on Android, you need to go through a rather long process, here’s the how to:
Step 1: On your Android phone, go to Settings and tap on Applications
Step 2: Turn “Unknown sources” on. A warning box will appear, read it along and tap on “OK”.
Step 3: Now open your browser on Android and point it to http://bit.ly/LinkedInAndroidBeta. It will download Android LinkedIn APK onto your mobile.
Step 4: Tap on the downloaded LinkedIn.apk. Look for LinkedIn.apk in browser’s download history or in Notifications. Installer will launch.
Step 5: Read the warning, then tap on “Install” if you want to install LinkedIn for Android.
Step 6: Once installed, tap on “Open” to start the app. It will also show in the list of apps.
