Download & Install Mobile Terminal 511-1 Deb iOS 4.3, 4.2.1 [iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch]

Mobile Terminal 511-1 for iOS 4.2.1 and iOS 4.3 is available for download. Now you can install Terminal for iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch 4G on your devices. Earlier versions were not iOS 4 compatible and Mobile Terminal crashes on iOS 4 were reported by many users. However Mobile Terminal 4.26 solved the issues and now there’s an update to that.

Install Terminal 511-1 on iPhone 4 / iPod Touch 4G

Step 0: Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1, with PwnageTool 4.1.3 or with redsn0w.

Step 1: Download Mobile Terminal 511-1: MobileTerminal_511-1_iphoneos-arm.deb

Step 2: SSH into iPhone. Windows: Use i-FunBox or WinCSP. Mac: Use CyberDuck

Step 3: Copy the downloaded MobileTerminal_511-1_iphoneos-arm.deb to /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall

Important: If you can’t locate the “Cydia” folder in “Media”, create it. Then create another folder named “AutoInstall” in “Cydia” folder and copy the .deb file there.

Step 4: Reboot your device.

After reboot, you will find Terminal app on SpringBoard.

Install OS7 – Windows Phone 7 (WP7) Theme for iPhone & iPod Touch (iOS)

Want a WP7 theme for iPhone or iPod Touch? With OS7, you get a Windows Phone 7 style theme for iPhone and iPod Touch. It works only if you have jailbroken your iPhone. Here’s the guide:

Before you Begin:

Step 1: Open Cydia, search and install Backboard

Step 2: Take complete backup with Backboard and name it “Default”

Step 3: Open this link in Safari: backboard://http://wyndrepo.googlecode.com/files/OS7Beta.zip

Step 4: Let the download complete

Step 5: Now head to Backboard, enable OS7 theme and do a respring.

That’s all. You should have OS7 theme installed on your device. If you wish to go back to original iPhone theme, you can do so by enabling the backup that you created in step 2.

TaskTube for iPhone – Control YouTube Videos from iPod Controls on Taskbar [Play, Pause]

TaskTube for iPhone is a jailbreak tweak that lets you control YouTube videos from iPod’s Play & Pause controls. TaskTube adds these controls to YouTube.app in iOS 4.2.1 and works really great. Want to give it a try? First, you need to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 with redsn0w 0.9.6 beta 4 then follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open Cydia and move to “Manage” tab and tap on “Sources”.

Step 2: Now add following repo:

http://cydia.myrepospace.com/metion

To add the repo: Tap on “Edit” (top right), then on “Add” (top left). A window will pop-up asking for source URL. Enter the URL given above and tap on “Add Source”.

Step 3: Now move to “Sources” again, you’ll see MyRepoSpace source in there, tap on it.

Step 4: Now look for TaskTube and tap on it.

Step 5: Hit “Install” (top right). AppSync 4.2 install process will begin.

Step 6: After installing, Respring or Reboot your device.

TaskTube is added to YouTube app now, to see the action:

  1. Open YouTube app and play any video
  2. Double click on iPhone “Home” button to open iPod controls.
  3. You can now control YouTube videos with iPod controls.

AppSync 4.2 – Sync Cracked Apps to iTunes for iPad 4.2.1, iPod Touch & iPhone iOS 4.2.1

AppSync 4.2 is now available in Cydia. Updated version is compatible with iOS 4.2.1 and lets you sync cracked apps to iTunes for iPad 4.2, iPod Touch and iPhone iOS 4.2.1. This app is useful when you have downloaded cracked apps on to your computer and want to sync them to iTunes. To install the app:

Step 1: Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 with redsn0w 0.9.6 Beta 4

Step 2: Open Cydia and move to “Manage” tab and tap on “Sources”

Step 3: Tap on “Edit” (top right), then on “Add” (top left). A window will pop-up asking for source URL.

Step 4: Enter http://cydia.hackulo.us and tap on “Add Source”. A warning will appear saying:

This repository has been reported by the community to be illegally redistributing copyrighted works. We cannot stop you from using it but we can (and do) recommend moral introspection and caution.

Tap on “Add Anyway” if you want to continue.

Step 5: Now move to “Sources” again, you’ll see Hackulo.us source in there, tap on it.

Step 6: In Hackulo.us source, look for “AppSync for OS 4.2” and tap on it.

Step 7: Hit “Install” (top right). AppSync 4.2 install process will begin.

Now you can sync cracked apps to iTunes for iPad 4.2 or any other device running iOS 4.2.

Please note that installing cracked apps is illegal and is not recommended. If you like an app / game, consider purchasing it instead.

How to Install OpenSSH without Cydia (Enable SSH on iOS 4.2.1)

Want to SSH into 4.2.1 iOS powered device? Cydia doesn’t work on iOS 4.2.1 as yet but you can install OpenSSH without Cydia. Latest Redsn0w 0.9.6 Beta 3 lets you install jailbreak apps onto your device without Cydia. Here is the step by step guide to help you installing OpenSSH without Cydia:

Before you Begin:

Step 1: Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 GM with Redsn0w 0.9.6

Step 2: Launch Redsn0w 0.9.6 B3

Step 3: Click “Browse” and select the iOS 4.2.1 IPSW. Redsn0w will process the firmware.

Step 4: In the options screen, select “Install custom bundle”. A window will pop-up asking for location of the package that you want installed, select the tgz file.

Step 5: Connect your device to the computer while it’s turned off.

Step 6: Now follow the on-screen instructions to put your device in DFU mode.

That’s it. Your device will reboot and you’ll be able to SSH into iOS 4.2.1 device once it starts.

FaceIt-3GS: How to Enable FaceTime on iPhone 3GS

Want FaceTime on 3GS? A jailbreak tweak called FaceIt-3GS lets you enable FaceTime on iPhone 3GS. You will need to jailbreak iPhone 3GS 4.1. After jailbreaking, you can get FaceIt-3GS tweak from Cydia and enable FaceTime on iPhone 3GS. To get it, you need to add iPhoneIslam repo in Cydia:

  1. Open Cydia and Move to Manage tab.
  2. Tap on “Sources” and then on “Edit” (Top right corner in “Sources”)
  3. Now tap on “Add” (Top left corner)
  4. A text field will pop-up. Enter “http://apps.iphoneislam.com” in there and hit the “Add” button.
  5. Now move to “Search” tab and search for FaceIt-3GS.
  6. Install the tweak to your iPhone 3GS.
  7. That’s it. Now you can use FaceTime on 3GS.

Note: This tweak isn’t tested so we’re not sure if it will work or not. You can try it out but if things don’t work well for you, we’re not to blame.

Fix iOS 4.0.1 PDF Exploit with PDF Loading Warner for iPhone

Recently released iOS 4.0.1 jailbreak uses PDF exploit to access your iPhone and patch iOS 4.0.1. Since the browser based jailbreak tool uses this critical exploit in Safari for iPhone, users are definite to feel vulnerable to security loophole. Using this vulnerability, hackers can make you download a PDF (without you knowing about it) that may install malicious code on iPhone.
