Good news for those who want Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread on EVO 4G. The official Gingerbread for HTC EVO 4G has leaked and is now available for download. As with every leak, it lacks some features. Here’s a brief list of what works and what doesn’t, according to quocamole:

some quick initial impressions:
good:
-2.3.3!
-one of the smoothest, fastest sense roms out of the box i’ve ran (for you benchers, i’m getting around 37 on linpack)
- no issues with brightness settings (hw003, not sure about screen)
- browsing feels faster and smoother
- some menu fonts are smaller
- some hints of gingerbread (notification icons)
- swype has a cursor similar to gb keyboard
bad:
- camcorder closes when recording in h.264
- no epst
- sense 1.0, but i run lp anyway
think i’m going to run it for a few days. can’t wait to see what the great evo 4g devs will do with this one.
edit: forgot one of the best goods – gb battery status rocks!

Enough with rumors. Android powered HTC EVO 4G is finally coming to Sprint on June 4. Sprint has confirmed June 4 as HTC EVO 4G release date. That’s pretty early, eh? However HTC EVO 4G is not the only thing coming in first week of June. Remember the Apple WWDC 2010 starting June 7, and that could be likely release date of iPhone 4G HD as well. Another exciting prospect with EVO 4G is its price. World’s first WiMax enabled device will be available for $199 only.

HTC EVO 4G will be capitalizing on low price and high end features like support for HDMI and video chat. Not to mention the big 4.3 inch screen and 8 MegaPixels camera that make EVO 4G the best-on-features Android phone. We have, earlier, compared different Android phones, here is our comparison of HTC EVO 4G, Nexus One, Motorola Droid and HTC Desire.
