Posted by | How to | 5 Comments

HTC TattooWe have covered the process to root Nexus One and Droid Eris earlier. It’s time to root another Android based mobile, HTC Tattoo. Let’s see in detail how to root HTC Tattoo. Before you begin rooting HTC Tattoo, make sure you have HTC Sync installed on your computer. HTC Sync is required to get root access and change the bootloader & recovery files so that you can flash the ROMs once they come out. Now follow the steps as given below:

Make a GoldCard [See how to create a GoldCard]

Put the GoldCard into the HTC Tattoo Phone

Download HTC Tattoo Rooting App and extract it

Copy the extracted rtattoo folder in C: directory (Folder path should be C:rtattoo)

On your HTC Tattoo, go to Settings > Applications > Development and on/enable the “USB Debugging” if it’s off/disabled.

Plug phone into the computer

Now go to C:rtattoo and run rootTattoo.bat file

Wait till it finishes and that’s it. (Don’t interrupt or use your phone once the process is on).
