iDongle is little, thumb sized device that enables iPod Touch or iPhone with tethered jailbreak to work as untethered one. We all know that untethered jailbreak for new iPhone devices is not possible and only possibility is the tethered jailbreak for iPhone. As a result you have to re-jailbreak iPhone every time it gets restarted which could be a hassle, especially when you are somewhere out and cannot access your computer. Confused about tethered and untethered jailbreak for iPhone? Know the difference. With iDongle, you can start your untethered jailbroken iPhone without connecting it to the computer. Instead you need to follow the steps given below:
- Turn your jailbroken device on
- It will ask you to plug the iTunes with it. On iTunes logo, plug iDongle to your device
- Wait till led to ends flashing
- Unplug iDongle and wait for the boot
Your device will start without connecting it with the PC, just like an untethered jailbreak for iPhone. Video of this process is also given at the end, check it out.
