EA has released SimCity Deluxe HD for iPad and it is now available in app store for $6.99. The game lets you control a city as you act as mayor in SimCity Deluxe for iPad and control the city. You can build and manage a city from scratch. If you have played SimCity on a PC, the iPad version will look much familiar. Here are some screenshots:

Here is a list of top paid apps for iOS devices in 2010 as shown in the iTunes. Of iTunes top 10, 8 of the top iPhone apps for 2010 are games, leaving WhatsApp Messenger and Talking Carl to be the only non-gaming apps. There is one thing in common though, all are priced at $0.99.

VLC for iPad is now available in App Store. VLC Media Player is the open source player that plays almost any audio or video file. Like with any VLC Player, VLC for iPad comes with built in codecs. It’s now available in Apple App Store for FREE.

Big Man Cometh?
Next Street Fighter update will bring E-Honda and Crimson Viper to SF4 for iPhone. This free update will also bring quite a few surprises as well that are still unannounced. It will take Street Fighter IV for iPhone characters count to 12 with addition of E-Honda and Crimson Viper. Here is the video showing E-Honda:

FireMint Flight Control & Real Racing 3D are now Game Center compatible. Both of games were recently updated to support GameCenter features like achievements and leaderboards. According to official blog post from FireMint:
Firemint has added Game Center functionality in Flight Control and Real Racing. You can also view achievements and leaderboards in the game or on the Cloudcell web site, so if you have an older device you won’t miss out!
Up till now, only Ms. Pacman was GameCenter compatible. So these two popular games are bound to receive warm welcome in the GameCenter community. Go and try them out.

Recently released iOS 4.0.1 jailbreak uses PDF exploit to access your iPhone and patch iOS 4.0.1. Since the browser based jailbreak tool uses this critical exploit in Safari for iPhone, users are definite to feel vulnerable to security loophole. Using this vulnerability, hackers can make you download a PDF (without you knowing about it) that may install malicious code on iPhone.

Since the JailbreakMe tool is now public, you can use PDF Loading Warner for iPhone or iPad from Cydia. This little tool will notify you each time a website attempts to make you download a PDF, so you can decide whether or not to download it.
How to Install PDF Loading Warner:
Step 1: Jailbreak iPhone with JailbreakMe
Step 2: Open Cydia and go to “Search” Tab
Step 3: Search for ”PDF Loading Warner”
Step 4: Install the app
That’s it. Now you can safely browse from Safari for iPhone without being fearful of getting hit by malicious code.
Apple iBooks is updated to iBooks 1.1.1 and brings some new features and enhancements. Here are some of the new features in iBooks:

AppSync is Cydia app that lets you install cracked apps & games on iPhone and iPad. AppSync 4.0 for iOS4 is now out and working on iOS GM Candidate. If you were looking to install cracked apps on iOS 4, you should first jailbreak iOS 4 with redsn0w 0.9.5 or PwnageTool bundles. Then add http://cydia.hackulo.us to Cydia and AppSync 4.0 should be there on iOS 4.

In a blog post, Mozilla has expressed that they’re working on Firefox for iPhone named as Firefox Home app. It will be available to download for free. Firefox Home will use Firefox Sync (formerly known as Weave Sync) to give users instant access to browsing history on iPhone. Firefox Sync will be based on bookmarks and recently opened URLs synchronization. This feature is showcased in the video below:

It still requires some more work before Mozilla submit it to the App store. Opera for iPhone is also available in App store after it was approved on April 12.
