WordPress 3.0 Beta 2 is now available for download. WordPress 3.0 Beta 1 was released some time ago which introduced support for custom menus in WordPress. Beta 2 release brings in following enhancements:

• Revised User Interface for menus.
• Enhancements in WordPress importer and exporter to make the tool more flexible.

This is, most probably the last beta release of WordPress before the WordPress 3.0 RC (Release Candidate) is made available for download.

WordPress 3.0 Beta 1 is now available for download. This is the early beta version of WordPress 3.0 and is released for testing and fixing bugs if any. You can play with new features though, including custom menus for WordPress and a brand new default theme for WordPress named Twenty Ten version 0.7. Here is brief list of features and enhancements that have been made in WordPress 3.0:

Custom Menus – You can find it under “Appearance” Tab on the sidebar.

Custom Post Types – This is exciting new feature for developers to work with. You may see custom post types implemented in upcoming themes for WordPress 3.0. Better explained by Konstantin.

Twenty Ten Theme for WordPress – It’s new default theme for WordPress.
