As iPhone Dev Team has released redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 for all idevices untethered 4.3.1 jailbreak, you can now jailbreak iPhone 4 4.3.1 using latest redsn0w. Here’s the guide that will help you along the process:

What you need:

Step 1: Update your device to iOS 4.3.1.

Step 2: Launch Redsn0w, click the browse button and select the iOS 4.3.1 IPSW that you downloaded.

Step 3: You will see following options:

  • Install Cydia
  • Install custom bundle
  • Install iPad baseband
  • Dectivate
  • Just boot tethered right now
  • Just enter pwned DFU mode right now

As obvious, you will need to select “Install Cydia” while jailbreaking 4.3.1, others are either not applicable or are optional.

Step 4: Switch off your device and connect it to the computer via USB. Now click “Next”.

Step 5: Now you’ll have to put your device in DFU mode, redsn0w will offer on-screen instructions, you’ll have to:

  • Hold “Power” button for 3 seconds.
  • Without releasing power button, hold the “Home” button for 10 seconds.
  • Release power button but keep holding Home button for up to 30 seconds.

That’s it! Redsn0w will complete it’s process now and will reboot your device. Once your iPhone restarts you will have untethered jailbreak on iPhone 4 4.3.1. Enjoy!
